**Facebook: Brighton filmmakers coalition**
This is a social community website much like facebook. Below is a quick reference guide with links to some of the features you can use.
Tip: Each feature or area can be reached via the main menu at the top of this website. Once you have click a menu link it will take you to that features mainpage, from there you will be shown whats available to view or given more menu buttons to affect or add to it.
Tip: Nothing is ever more than about 3 clicks away
Features and links:
Groups: Groups are like mini websites. Groups can be based around shared interests, activities, or anything you like, see what groups are already here for inspiration. You can upload photographs and videos, make comments and you also have you a dedeicated forum for each group.
Tip: To add a group you must be logged in. Look for the 'Add Group' button upper right of the groups mainpage.
DashBoard: This is your account page. Its just a way for you to view what activity you've been upto and some stats. you can change a few settings here, like your privacy.
Profile: The little image of a head and shoulders on the top menu is the link to your profile page. This is much like facebook. shows your wall and information.
Tip: Your profile link is http://filmcoalition.co.uk/brighton/[Your Username Here]
Photos: Allows you to view or upload photographs to the website. You can only upload to your own albums.
Tip: To upload pictures, goto the photos main page then upper right youll see 'My albums'. Click this then click on an album (you can create new albums by clicking 'Add album') once in an album you will see under 'My albums' a new set of menu buttons. use 'Add photos'. If the picture is to large in scale it wont upload.
Videos: Allows you to view or upload videos to the website.
Tip: You can uplaod videso direct to the site (prefer videos under 100meg) or you can link your youtube and vimeo videos to our Coalition accounts whihc will be shown on the homepage.
Blogs: Like any other blogging webiste it allows to a written record of anything and everything you do or migfht want to write about and let people read. Production diarys are a popular use for this feature and help other people learn from what you do.
Tip: You need to create a description for your overall blog and then add posts within that blog. Use a generic name for your blogs then you can add a variety of posts. you only get one blog but you can post as many time sint hat blog as you like. Use 'Add post' button the blogs mainpage to add a post to your blog.
Files: Here you will find anything relevant to the coalition and film production that you may need to read, download or use. This will include production forms, images or important documents. You can uplaod your own files that you think people may find useful.
Tip: Look here for forms, templates and files relating to the coalition or film production.
Events: You can add an event that might be coming up that is of interest to the rest of the group. You can advertise anything from screenings to festivals and your own related events.
Tip: To add an event you must be logged in. Look for the 'Create Group' button upper right of the events mainpage.
